I am so incredibly glad you are here. Welcome to Monday Meetup.

We are embarking on a journey that I believe will change our year. We’ll be reading the One Year Bible for Women together, and sharing our hearts, our fears, and our hopes as we discuss it.

Whether you have read the Bible through a dozen times or you are just trying to figure out where to start, you belong here.

The best way for each of us to reach our goal of reading through the Bible this year is by doing it together.

Please introduce yourself in the comments!

Why the Monday Meetup?

I understand how difficult it can be to find space for God in a noisy world. I used to think that spiritual discipline meant being courageous and forcing myself to make time. But as I grow older, I realize that spiritual habits are simply ways of positioning ourselves to receive God’s grace. When we make a habit of opening our Bible, God—the God of the universe!—meets us there.

That is what this community is for. Every Monday, I’ll send you a Weekly Quiet Time Kit to help you place yourself in that path.

Inside Your Week 1 Kit: “Beginnings”

This week, we are starting at the very beginning—Genesis and Matthew. Your kit is designed to be a companion for your daily reading.

DOWNLOAD YOUR WEEK 1 QUIET TIME KIT

Here is what is inside Week 1’s PDF:

  • The Checklist: We are covering Genesis 1–13, Matthew 1–5, Psalms 1–5, and Proverbs 1.

  • The Devotional: When Wisdom Calls Your Name. We’ll look at how wisdom isn’t whispering. Instead, she is crying out in the streets because she wants to be found.

  • The Scripture Journal: A space to process the reading. We’ll tackle questions like: What is consuming your attention this week?

Invite a Friend!

Does this sound like just what you need … a no-guilt way to keep your eyes on Jesus?

It is so much easier to keep our attention fixed on God when we aren’t doing it alone.

Who is one friend you’d love to walk through the Bible with this year? Forward this email to her and invite her to the Monday Meetup. Let’s help each other turn our backs on the noise and tune into wisdom together.

A Thought to Carry You This Week

As we open our Bibles to Genesis today, I want to share a truth from this week’s devotional that has been on my heart:

“We drift toward whatever has our attention.”

When we focus on fear, comparison, or the noise of the world, we drift toward anxiety. But when we turn our attention to God—even just for a few minutes in the morning—we drift back toward peace.

Wait, peace? You might be coming from a place that’s far from peaceful. If you have a private prayer request, I’d love to pray with you. Please take a minute and share a prayer request. I’m honored to pray!

Let’s Chat

The best part of a meetup is the conversation. I’d love to hear from you in the comments!

In Genesis 8, we read that God “remembered” Noah after a long season of waiting. Is there a situation in your life right now where you are waiting on God to move?

Leave a comment below, and let’s pray for one another as we start this year.

I’m cheering you on,

Tricia Goyer

P.S. If you feel unqualified to start this journey, remember this: “God doesn’t call the equipped. He equips the called.” You are exactly where you are supposed to be, friend!
